Intentional Living: How Power of Intentional Decision Making Can Help You Live Your Best Life

Intentional Living: How Power of Intentional Decision Making Can Help You Live Your Best Life - FRANC

One of our values at Franc is living intentionally. With every article of clothing we create, we do our best to keep our staff, Mama Earth, and you—our dear consumer—in mind. Living intentionally is a fun challenge. There are always opportunities that need new approaches, stimulating us to grow. With that growth, we can spread the love, share what we learn with you, and empower you to live your best intentional life.

Here are our top four tips for intentional living.

Trust your gut.

The more you listen to yourself about the small decisions (like shopping), the easier it will be to listen to your intuition about the big life decisions. It takes trial and error, but when you start trusting your gut, you might realize that you’re your best guide.

So if prices seem too good to be true or you feel hesitant about buying something, trust yourself. Your inner voice knows what’s up.

Honour your bank account.

As shops are reopening, it’s tempting to go out and buy things . . . because we can. This is a great time to check in with your budget and remind yourself of your goals. Just because we can buy something, doesn’t mean we have to buy it. This sits in the same space as just because we want something, doesn’t mean we need it. The choice is yours. Only you can find your balance. ;)

Go forward with respect.

A lot of work goes into making the clothing we put on our bodies. Our society is detached from the process it takes to make the things we use on a daily basis. Awakening our intention brings our attention back to the bigger picture. When we are aware of the labour and materials that go into making one article of clothing, we start to look at the fashion industry differently and realize the power that we have every time we buy something.

With every purchase, we can take into consideration where it came from, who made it, how long it will last, and where it will go after we’re done with it. Our decisions affect ourselves, others, and the planet. That’s some power.

Take care of what you have.

The most sustainable outfit you can wear is the one you already own. We are all about outfit repeating and taking care of our clothes to get the most use. (If you haven’t checked it out yet, we have some laundry tips to help you out.)

One of the best feelings is when your intuition, bank account, and personal values all align and you happy dance in your new ethically made pants. It’s a wonderful feeling to put your money towards a brand that empowers freedom and life for the future.

So here is to intentional decision-making. Trusting ourselves. Calling out bullshit. Taking up space. Engaging in creating change. And getting a little loud about making the world a better place. Cheers pals!
