Outfit Planning For Better Weekday Mornings

Outfit Planning For Better Weekday Mornings - FRANC

There are many bad ways to start your day, but running late and hating everything you put on your body is for sure in the top ten. The best way to avoid the runaround, rush to put an outfit together, only to hate everything you put on is to plan out those outfits.

Remember those packs of underwear with the cute graphics on them for every day of the week? Well, basically our suggestion is to get back to every day of the week underwear. Since you can't go buy a pack of underwear and instantly live a simple life, we are gonna walk you through our adult version of this - a quick, loose week-long outfit plan.

Let's Keep It, Super Simple

After doing laundry (maybe on a Sunday evening) have a seat for a minute and think about the week ahead.

What do you have planned? Are there any days that you need to be out somewhere right after work? Do you have any special meetings? Are you running around doing errands all day?

Next, loosely think about the things you know you like to wear during different activities.

For instance; if you are running around doing errands and appointments all day, our guess is high heels, and a pencil skirt isn't going to be top of mind (just a theory).

Still Simple, But Now Add More

Pull out your phones notepad (or a good ol' pen and paper). Write down a loose schedule for the week, with a quick little note for each day.

E.g.:
Monday - least productive day
Tuesday - Dr appointment in the am
Wednesday - Meeting with the boss
Thursday - Dinner with the girls after work
Friday - long zzz workday
Saturday - errands, shopping
Sunday - no plans

Now before you start putting the laundry away, think about what you'd like to wear for each of those days, based on those loosely made plans for each day.

E.g.:
Monday - my least productive day:  black Ponte pants, basic white tee, loafers and a blazer.
TuesdayDr appointment in the amdark denim, striped button-down, snakeskin mules.
WednesdayMeeting with the boss:  t-shirt dress and studded flats.
ThursdayDinner with the girls after workblack denim, red tank
Fridaylong zzzz workdaywrap skirt, t-shirt, heels.
Saturdayerrands, shoppingjeans, sneakers, fave tee.
Sundayno plansjogger pants or no pants.

And done. This is a favourite routine because it leaves room for change in the morning but also lets you just wake up and go and not have to overthink while you are still tired, groggy and maybe just not feeling any outfit. It helps to make sure the items you are thinking of wearing are available to be worn. Since you are thinking of it all as one big whole, you can now take the time now to iron (🤢) if you need, and make sure the things you are thinking of wearing are actually clean (maybe in the laundry you are about to fold). The goal is no surprises in the morning and a smooth, less stressful start to your day ✨.

Do you outfit plan for the week? Any extra tips or tricks to make it super easy?
