4 Powerful Ways to Lift up Other Women

4 Powerful Ways to Lift up Other Women - FRANC

Hello goddesses, warriors, badass mamas—all you beautiful women who find yourselves here today.

We see you and we honour you.

The world feels extra heavy lately. There’s a lot to process and a whole lot of feelings to feel right now. At times, it’s too much to handle, but we’re not alone in our processing. We’re not alone in our feelings. As we shift our focus to healing the many wounds our world has, we will see change.

One of the ways we can bring healing is by lifting up other women around us. Even though we can’t physically hold each other right now, we can still be that support, be that encouraging voice, and be that safe place for other women. Because, what is more healing than women empowering other women?

Know your power. Our words hold so much power. A little encouragement can empower a sleepy mama through their day. A small compliment can empower an artist to create their next piece of art. A bit of positive feedback can empower a maker to keep making.

Compliment. Encourage. Empower.

Support businesses owned by women—There are so many amazing women in the world creating beautiful things. Buying something from a business owned by a woman is incredibly empowering! If you love their product, make sure you leave a raving review and pass on their business card to the other women in your life. We can create a beautiful circle of empowerment by how we spend our money.

Send some love—Simple acts of kindness are another way to lift up the women in our lives. Mailboxes are great places to do so while maintaining physical distancing. It can be a note, some chocolate, or—if you really, really love them—a book that has impacted your personal growth. (It’s okay if you’re not ready for the book step. That’s a lot to ask of a book lover. 😉)

Pass on the sweet stuff, baby! Spread those warm and fuzzy feelings.

Amplify other women's voices—Social media is a great way to uplift other women. Amplify their voices by sharing their accounts and by reposting their work (make sure you tag the original creator). When you discover another woman who is doing the same work that you do, champion her. Partner with them. We are better when we work together.

For too many years, women have been caught in a war—against ourselves, against our bodies, against each other. But what society forgot when it pinned us against ourselves and each other, is that women are natural-born warriors, goddesses, and badass babes. We’re born to fight, but not against each other. We know our power, we know our worth, and we sure as hell are going to rise and fight to make this world a place where women are allies, not enemies. For ALL women—we will lift each other up. In ALL women—we will see our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, and ourselves. We will bridge the gap so our daughters can freely dance across the divide and carry on creating a world of peace.

Even though the world feels like a total dumpster fire most days, I am confident we can rise in power and create a freer world.

May you find a glimmer of hope, peace, and light today.
